 Great Big Green Week
This year The Great Big Green Week runs from 7-15 June and this year’s theme is...
Let’s swap together for good
As it is the last few days of the week, it's the perfect time to think about the swaps you can make which could add up to make a big difference.
Do you have a swap you could make which will help tackle climate change and protect nature?
Tree Planting Scheme
As part of our Tree Management Strategy, we have planted 105 new trees at Swan Way and Buttercup Drive in Coalville.
The strategy has been developed from consulting with The National Forest, The Woodland Trust, The Forestry Commission, Leicestershire County Council, Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust and Travelers Insurance Company.
The strategy, which will be formally launched this summer, reflects the council’s commitment to boost tree planting and increase the amount of tree canopy cover from 19.2% to 20% by 2050 across the district.
