Bin the bags!
The contamination rate in our silver recycling bins has gone down thanks to your amazing efforts!
Some items can be tricky to know what to do with, so this month we are looking at plastic bins and bin liners. These are not currently recyclable in kerbside collections. If you use a bag or a liner to collect your recycling in your home, check out our top tips:
✅ Empty your recyclable contents out of the bag and into the silver bin ✅ Reuse the bag to collect more recyclable materials ✅ Recycle bags and other soft plastics at most local supermarkets if no longer needed
Want to know where soft plastics are accepted? Click the link and pop in your postcode to find out where to take them: Recycle an Item
Items should be empty, clean, dry and loose when being recycled.
