Don’t miss out on fibre broadband – make sure you ACT today!

As more and more homes across Nottinghamshire start to get connected to the Better Broadband for Nottinghamshire fibre network, make sure you don’t miss out on the opportunity to get the benefits of a faster service.

Your existing internet service provider will not automatically upgrade your broadband service, so make sure you ACT.

A is for ask

  • Contact your provider and ask them about fibre broadband
  • Ask them to confirm whether you are now able to access fibre
  • Ask them to explain how fibre can benefit you

C is for chat

  • Chat through your options with your existing provider
  • Chat through the terms of your existing contract – you may get a good deal with your current provider or may wish to leave – do ask about exit charges!
  • Chat with friends and family about other deals with other providers

T is for ‘take up’

  • Check the information you have received and researched
  • Make an informed choice
  • Take up a new fibre-broadband package

Over 31,000 premises are now able to access fibre broadband

February has seen another significant ‘gear shift’ in bringing fibre broadband access to Nottinghamshire residents and businesses thanks to the Better Broadband for Nottinghamshire Programme.  

Over 172 cabinets are now fibre enabled so we’re well on track to achieve our coverage target of 95% by March 2016.

Over the past week new cabinets in Gotham, Gedling and Bilsthorpe have come online with further cabinets being fibre enabled in Edwinstowe.

Digital Champions

We would like to thank you for bearing with us over the past couple of months whilst we review the roll out strategy of the Digital Champions’ network. It has been a very busy time collating and assessing all the information providers have submitted to us.

We are now in a position to announce that ‘Digital Unite’ has been chosen to work with the council in rolling out and delivering this exciting and greatly anticipated network.

We are working with this provider very closely to establish the next steps so watch out for our next emailme update where we will be able to bring you additional information.
