Did you know that our youth service is young carer friendly?
We have been awarded the young carer friendly quality mark for the second time, recognising the work the youth service team has put in to support the young people accessing our service.
We're really proud to have received the award again. Our partnership with Nottinghamshire Carers Association and Young Carers Notts means we can continue to make Nottinghamshire a place where young carers are understood, supported and included.

School upgrades are taking shape across the county
Pupils, teachers, councillors and partners gathered to celebrate the official opening of the new learning village at St Peter’s CofE Junior School in Ruddington. Work on the new £6.5 million purpose-built temporary learning village, which includes four new buildings, started in the new year and was completed by early April, ready for the new summer term.
In addition, two classroom blocks at Leen Mills Primary School, Hucknall, are being replaced with a fit-for-purpose, permanent building. The work is set to be completed in august ready for the new school year.
Albany Junior School is also due to get a £12.7 million, purpose-built replacement building. A new, energy-efficient, two-storey building is planned to be built next to the current school. The project has been designed to keep disruption to a minimum so that pupils’ education continues as normal.
