Record-breaking investment to fix Notts roads
Work to improve the county’s roads is accelerating at pace with an extra £58.75 million to be invested across Nottinghamshire as part of a record-breaking funding package.
We have announced details of phase two of our wide-ranging highways capital programme to fix our highways network – taking our investment for the next 12 months to an eye-catching £181.25m.
It is the largest investment ever made in Nottinghamshire’s highways in a single year and is believed to be the highest by a local authority in the country.

St Peter's Junior School reopens for pupils
Pupils, teachers, councillors and partners gathered to celebrate the official opening of the new learning village at St Peter’s CofE Junior School in Ruddington.
Work on the new £6.5 million purpose-built temporary learning village, which includes four new buildings, started in the new year and was completed by early April, ready for the new summer term. This makes it the fastest-ever turnaround for a project of this type in the country. It has been built next to the current building, accommodating all pupils.

Support local young people in your community
Futures is working with the East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMCCA) and the EMCCA Careers Hub on a new pilot supporting over 200 local students.
These students are at risk of becoming NEET (not in education, employment, or training) and over 65% of them have never experienced a real workplace.
Your business could support local young people by hosting them for just two hours. This could include a brief tour, a mini task, a chance to ask questions, and to meet staff.
