Helping children get ready to learn
Family hubs bring services together so families can easily access support that helps children thrive. A key focus is ensuring children are ready to learn - emotionally, socially and developmentally.
Hubs strengthen parent-child relationships through play sessions and parenting support, helping build confidence and secure attachments. They also promote early language by offering guidance and activities that create rich communication at home.
Working closely with early years settings and schools, family hubs support smooth transitions into education, emphasising curiosity, resilience and routine rather than formal learning. By connecting families to the right help early, we give every child the best start.
