Changes to first aid training requirements: anaphylaxis and Benedict’s Law
What It means for schools and how our first aid training can help
The government has confirmed its commitment to Benedict’s Law, which will introduce mandatory school allergy guidance to help protect children with severe allergies. Anaphylaxis UK has welcomed this important step forward in improving safety for pupils across the country.
At Notts Outdoors, our school‑based first aid courses already include anaphylaxis training as standard. We deliver Emergency First Aid for Schools training, a regulated one‑day qualification designed specifically for school environments. This course covers first aid for both adults and children, enabling participants to act as workplace first aiders with the skills, knowledge and confidence to respond to a wide range of emergencies.
As part of the course, you will receive essential training on anaphylaxis, asthma, diabetes and lots more.
In light of the introduction of Benedict’s Law, we are be reviewing and updating our anaphylaxis training to ensure it aligns fully with the new requirements as they are rolled out.
We remain committed to supporting schools with high‑quality, relevant first aid training and you can be assured that you will always receive clear guidance and up‑to‑date information as the legislation progresses.
Schools accessing our training can also contact our team for advice and support whenever needed.
