Work starts next spring

Work on the long-awaited upgrade of the A614/A6097 Major Road Network will begin in spring next year. The project, which has secured over £43 million in investment, promises to transform five key junctions—including Ollerton Roundabout, White Post Roundabout, Warren Hill, Lowdham Roundabout and Kirk Hill at East Bridgford.

Archaeological investigations will start off at Ollerton, Lowdham and Kirk Hill from March 2026, paving the way for major construction works to follow throughout summer and autumn. Residents will have the chance to meet the contractors and learn more about the scheme at upcoming community events.

While significant disruption is expected during the two-year programme, the improvements are set to ease congestion, improve safety and boost connectivity for local people and businesses.
