Foster carers celebrated at summer fete
It has been a summer of fun for foster carers in Nottinghamshire.
Families and staff enjoyed an afternoon of summer fun at Colwick Hall Hotel, with ice creams, live portrait painting, music from The Ooh La La’s, a DJ in the evening and more!
Earlier in the summer, birth children of Nottinghamshire foster carers had a fantastic day out to Drayton Manor. Children, young people and staff braved the hot weather and had lots of fun taking on the rides together.
You could bring sunshine to a child’s life by becoming a foster carer. No formal qualifications are required just time, space and a generous heart. Find out more about fostering.

Youth Mental Health Day
Today, September 19, is Youth Mental Health Day. There’s no age limit on mental health, which is why NottAlone is here for children and young people today, tomorrow and every day to provide information, resources and connections to free, local support.
Since its launch four years ago, NottAlone has brought thousands of young people and local services together through hosting its annual NottAlone Live events, equipped educators with Senior Mental Health Lead training and launched the NottAlone Podcast tackling mental health topics like anxiety and school attendance, neurodiversity, exam stress and more.
Initially designed to support children and young people, NottAlone has evolved into an inclusive, all-ages hub supporting families, carers, professionals and individuals across the city and county.
