Upcoming community training opportunities

Following the overwhelming success of our recent Funding and Listening Skills workshops, we are excited to announce a new round of training dates in response to high demand.

Whether you are part of a grassroots group, a small charity, or just getting started in community work, these sessions are designed to give you practical tools and confidence to move your ideas forward.

Funding workshop

This workshop helps you navigate the funding landscape, identify the right opportunities and improve the quality of your applications. It's ideal for community groups, charities and small organisations—whether you're new to grant funding or looking to boost your chances of success. No previous grant-writing experience is needed.

Listening skills workshop

This full-day session introduces the Heart, Head, Hands listening approach—a powerful method for sparking meaningful community action, whether it’s one conversation at a time or through larger-scale initiatives.

Assembly Hall, Nottinghamshire County Council, Loughborough Road, Nottinghamshire, Thursday 11 September 2025, 9.15am–4pm - Register online

Funding for local climate and nature projects

Funding is available for community-led projects in Nottinghamshire that tackle the climate and nature emergency, helping people connect with and care for their local environment.

Voluntary, community and statutory organisations can apply for grants of £300 to £20,000 (for up to two years) to start new activities, continue existing ones, adapt to challenges or run one-off events with clear environmental benefits.
