Welcome to the June edition of the co-production bulletin.
Get ready for Co-production Week 2025
We have exciting news that Co-production Week 2025 is now confirmed and starts on 30 June. This year’s theme is ‘Innovation through co-production’, celebrating the benefits of co-production, sharing good practice and promoting the contribution of people who access care and support in developing better social care.
During the week, the Our Voice Strategic Co-Production Group will be meeting with Adult Social Care staff to share their new ideas for co-production. They will also be hosting a forum for members of the public with lived experience and other organisations, to share learning and ideas for the future. We’ll bring you a full update afterwards including a report on the week’s activities, details on the co-production strategy, and how you can get involved so watch this space!
Whether you are curious or fully invested in co-production, there will be a national programme of events run by the people behind the concept; the Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE). You can find out more and see highlights from previous years on the SCIE website.
If you are part of a group and would like to arrange a talk from our team, or you’d like tell us what you’re doing during Co-production Week, email us at ourvoice@nottscc.gov.uk

Celebrating D/deaf community connections
It’s always a pleasure to share good news from our colleagues and this month, we've heard from Commissioning Officer Meg Moran about a recent D/deaf celebration event held at County Hall on 15 May. Here’s what she said:
"We had a brilliant turnout at the D/deaf Celebration Day held at County Hall. Around 100 people came along, making it a fantastic and lively morning.
The event was supported by our D/deaf Co-production Group, who helped plan the day and led the opening and closing sessions. It was great to see so many stallholders, community organisations, and guests coming together to share information, make connections, and celebrate the work going on across Nottinghamshire.
We also used the event as an opportunity to grow our D/deaf Co-production Group, and we’re really pleased to have found three new potential members to help carry on this important work."

Calling all carers!
Following successful events held last year, this year’s Carers Roadshows are being organised and led by local partner organisations across Nottinghamshire, with support from Nottinghamshire Carers Association.
We've heard there will be some good advice and information available at the roadshows on subjects that matter to you, such as financial information, support and wellbeing.
The roadshows are taking place at venues across the county and city until August.
If you have any questions about the roadshows, email carersroadshows@nottinghamshirecarers.co.uk
