Need a hand juggling work, family and childcare?

Early years childcare support is expanding, with funded hours available for children from 9 months old. From 15 and 30 hours, to tax-free childcare and Universal Credit childcare, there is a wide range of offers that parents may be eligible for, including wraparound childcare for primary school aged children. 4Uth Awards - nominations are open!

Do you know an inspirational young person who deserves to be recognised? If so, we want to hear from you! The 4Uth Awards recognise the achievements of young people aged 11-19 (or up to 25 for young people with a disability). Nominations are welcome from anyone, including friends, family, schools, youth groups or voluntary organisations and are open until Friday, 20 June, 2025. All winners will receive their awards at a special ceremony later in the year.

Win tickets to Nottinghamshire County Show

On Saturday 10 May you could be celebrating our local agricultural community in Newark at the Nottinghamshire County Show.

Last year, there were over 200 stalls to be enjoyed. A tradition for 140 years, the show has something for everyone from attractions including livestock, equine, local food producers and craft stalls, to countryside competitions, traders and more!

The community zone in the George Stephenson Exhibition Hall is going to be full of free activities to keep all the family entertained while showcasing all of the wonderful services our community has to offer.

There’s a climbing wall, Bikeability cycling sessions, tennis and rugby or why not get involved in some arts and crafts ‘make and take’ activities, giant games, badgemaking and story area with Inspire Libraries. There will also be a range of performers on the community zone stage.
