18 Family Hub Networks have launched across Nottinghamshire!

To celebrate, families and professionals have been taking part in official launch events to find out about the help and support available in each location.

We have seven Facebook pages with the new Family Hub Network branding. Here, we share information about services provided by our teams, as well as activities and services provided by other organisations such as the NHS.

We also share updates and information for families, including events and timetables.

To find your local page simply search ‘Family hub’ and the district you live in.

Are you pregnant or planning a pregnancy and confused about what vaccinations you need, why you need them, and how to get them?

Nottinghamshire County Council’s Public Health team has been working with local women to produce an information video. This video is available in English, Polish, Romanian, Ukrainian, Urdu and Arabic. It also links to reliable sources of information for you to carry out your own research.

Mansfield family hub was recently part of a project to help engage families in a local ‘health hub’ in Warsop.

Offering families swimming sessions for parents experiencing anxiety and low mood, the sessions were planned and supported by our staff, who observed an improvement in parents' emotional wellbeing as a result.

The sessions were well-received by families, with staff feeding back that parents appeared more motivated, looked forward to the sessions and developed new friendships.

Universal family swimming sessions are also promoted by the family hub team, visit the link below to find out more about the services we offer.

Booking is now live for the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme in the Easter holiday. 

HAF supports eligible families, making sure children age 5 to 16 years who receive benefits-related free school meals have access to free food and fun activities during school holidays.

It’s been a busy time following the launch of our Family Hub Networks, but what does this mean for families?

You will still be able to go to our buildings for activities and support from pregnancy to age 4, and families with children age 5 to 19 years can now contact us with queries or support needs.

If we can’t help, we will do our best to find someone who can.
