Children's mental health events support local young people for third year
Over 700 children and young people from Nottinghamshire and Nottingham City schools attended the third annual NottAlone Live on 4 and 5 February 2025. The events, run by NottAlone and county and city Mental Health Support Teams as part of Children’s Mental Health Week, featured mental health workshops, live performances and opportunities for young people to connect with local mental health support services.
NottAlone Live explored the theme of ‘know yourself, grow yourself’. Watch videos from the event on the NottAlone YouTube channel.
NottAlone is a website offering advice, resources and links to free, local support services for all ages. It features dedicated sections focussing on the needs of children and young people, their parents/carers and professionals who work with them including teachers.

The aim of the day is to draw attention to and raise awareness about self-harm, offer people ways to cope with their situation and point them to services that can provide help and support.
If you, or someone you know, needs help or advice on self-harm, visit our website for information and details on local support services.

International Women's Day 8 March
The theme for International Women’s Day (IWD) this year is ‘Accelerate Action’ and aims to encourage everyone to play a part in achieving gender equality.
We can all take steps to make a positive difference, such as calling out stereotypes, challenging discrimination, questioning bias and celebrating women's success.
We are demonstrating our commitment towards ending gender-based violence and violence against women and girls (VAWG) by setting up a VAWG advisory group and allyship group for staff. These groups aim to support and empower colleagues, advocate for change and raise awareness of domestic abuse and gender-based violence.
