Become a Nature Buddie
Natural England in partnership with Nottingham CVS, will be holding training in January and March 2024 for community groups, environmental groups and health professionals on how to establish a Nature Buddies scheme.
Nature Buddies aims to promote the value of specially trained volunteers to enable people, on a one-to-one basis or as part of a small group, to overcome barriers to participation in nature-based activities. Nature Buddies play a key role in helping overcome local health inequalities, for example supporting people who experience isolation and loneliness to feel confidence to access services that can improve their health.
