Welcome to Nottinghamshire’s SEND newsletter. The newsletter brings you news and information on special educational needs and disability in Nottinghamshire.

Have your say on the outcomes for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities

The local area SEND partnership is made up of organisations responsible for the SEND system, including Nottinghamshire County Council and Nottingham, Nottinghamshire Integrated Care Board, and the Nottinghamshire Parent Carer Forum.

The partnership would welcome views about the outcomes for children and young people with SEND who live in Nottinghamshire. These outcomes will be used to determine our priorities for SEND services and provision. For each of the agreed outcomes, the partnership will develop measures to determine the success of improvements.These measures will include the lived experiences of children and young people with SEND, and their families.

Get involved in improving SEND services!

We and our partners are asking young people with special educational needs and disabilities, and their parents and carers, to get involved and have a say on the way Nottinghamshire’s SEND services are developed.
This is part of a drive to improve the experiences and outcomes of children and young people in need of SEND support.

Share your views on speech, language and communication needs services

We are reviewing services provided to children and young people (up to age 25) around speech, language and communications needs.

We would like to hear from parents and carers who have accessed these services.

Information about local services focused on special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) for those aged 0 to 25 is available on the Nottinghamshire SEND local offer website.

The local offer brings together information and services all in one place to help support children, young people and their families.

Find useful information about things to do, education, getting around, preparing for adulthood, health and social care, short breaks, and the young people’s zone.
