Replace your old electric blanket for free
Our Trading Standards Team are carrying out an electric blanket exchange at three events in December as part of a campaign to improve safety. Electric blankets brought along by residents will be tested and replaced with a new one should they fail the safety testing.
Events are taking place at Worksop Library on 6 December, Bingham Library on 7 December and Mansfield Fire Station on 8 December. If you’d like to come along, please call 0115 804 4555 to make an appointment.

It’s not too late to get your flu or Covid jab
Eligible people are encouraged to have a flu and a Covid vaccine to protect themselves and loved ones over winter when viruses circulate most.
If you are pregnant, over 65 or have a long-term health condition, you can book an appointment with your GP or visit a pharmacy that offers flu vaccinations.
December 15 is the last date that you’ll be able to book a Covid vaccination appointment, so don’t miss out.

The Sheriff Who Stole Christmas Trail

At Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre
 The mischievous sheriff is plotting to steal the magic of the festive season. Your mission is to join forces with the spirited outlaws and thwart the sheriff’s plans! Follow the Major Oak trail and keep your eyes peeled for clues and hidden surprises that will assist you and the outlaws.
No advanced booking required. Trail sheets are available at the Visitor Centre for £3.50.

Have A Very Rufford Christmas
Every weekend until 23 December
At Rufford Abbey Country Park
 There’s lots to see and do, including Breakfast with Santa, the Elf Hunt Christmas Trail, Santa’s Grotto, Santa Paws Grotto at Rufford Abbey Country Park this Christmas. See what’s on and plan your fun day out. A Very Rufford Christmas runs every weekend until 23 December, but there are lots of other Christmassy things going on too.
