Heavy rain is expected to be persistent and the Met Office has warned that flooding is likely, so we've put together our top advice for how to stay safe during the conditions.
Remember to check flood alerts and warnings in your area
Knowing the flood risk of your area and being aware of any alerts or warnings in place is the first step to preparing yourself for flooding, so if you haven't had a look already, why not find out the flood forecast for your area?
It's important to keep checking flood alerts and warnings over the next few days as they are likely to be updated depending on the conditions.

Is it safe to drive through flood water?
Driving through flood water can have dangerous consequences. You cannot always be sure how deep the water is, and did you know that just 30cm of flowing water is enough to move your car?
It's best to find an alternative route should you come across a flooded road, and we cannot stress enough that you should never ignore flood warning and road closed signs.
Make sure to check out our advice on what to do if a road is flooded.
