Grants for the local community
Voluntary organisations and community groups helping improve the health and well-being residents can once again apply for a range of financial support thanks to the Local Communities Fund. Support includes two cost-of-living grants where eligible groups can apply for up to £5,000.
Groups who applied for the first round of these grants (which were open between December 2022 to January 2023) are able to apply again, including those who were successful.
Grants are open until Sunday 4 June 2023.

Cost of living support
To help residents who don’t have access to the internet, booklets are now available providing information such as phone numbers for where to get cost-of-living help and support.
These booklets are already available in all libraries, children’s centres and will be made available at cost-of- living events around the county.
A print-friendly version of the booklet is available on our dedicated cost-of-living webpage.

Household support fund
Around 40,000 Nottinghamshire households struggling to make ends meet are set to get extra support this summer and winter.
The first set of payments are expected later this summer. Families in receipt of free school meals or Pension Credit will once again be contacted directly by the county council with details of how to apply for a seasonal payment. Front-line workers will be once again help identify other households most in need via a referral process.

Nottsbus on demand
Residents in west Rushcliffe will be able to get on board a new on demand bus service from 15 May 2023.
The new Nottsbus On Demand service is the next phase of our demand responsive transport roll out following the successful trial in north and south Ollerton and Mansfield. It will be operating in villages including East Leake, Gotham, Thrumpton, Stanford on Soar, Sutton Bonington, and Kegworth between 7:00am and midnight, seven days a week.
Nottsbus On Demand doesn’t have a fixed route or follow a timetable, meaning that passengers can travel anywhere between bus stops and designated points in the operating zone, where there is not already a scheduled bus service running.
