Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub
The Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) are experiencing increased levels of safeguarding concerns currently and have requested support from partners to ensure that referrals have accurate and fully completed information. They have identified that partners could ease some of the pressures on the system by:
- Describing clearly what has happened.
- Completing all required fields when using online form
- Clarification on consent/ MSP and outcomes clearly described
- Risk planning and mitigations evident in the submitted narrative.
Can Safeguarding leads within the respective organisations be mindful and ensure the above points are addressed. This will subsequently ease the strain on the MASH and reduce the need for the team to chase for further clarification to make decisions on how to proceed.

NSAB is working with the Disclosure & Barring Service’s Regional Outreach Adviser to the East Midlands, Lizzie Whittington, to offer you a two-workshop series covering essential learning around DBS products and services and what you need to know to apply the learning in your organisation.
These 90-minute workshops are ideal for those working in or supporting the Adult Care sector, particularly with recruitment or safeguarding responsibilities and while it is beneficial to attend both sessions, you can choose to attend one as a standalone event.
