It’s unbelievably only 14 days until the Tour of Britain comes to Nottinghamshire – and even less time until the official start of the whole race!
We’ve been busy behind the scenes getting everything ready to make this event as special as it can be, working alongside the official Tour of Britain team as well as district and borough councils, partners, and sponsors to make sure everything is spot on for the big day.
There is much to get excited about and we’ve got lots to share with you over the next two weeks so keep checking your inboxes for the latest news!

We’ve created a brand new video of the full Nottinghamshire Tour of Britain cycle route, including all the landmarks and interesting history of the key locations along the way!
For the video, our Chief Executive, Anthony May, cycled the whole Nottinghamshire route, here’s how it went…

We had entries from children all over the county who submitted their designs for both the starting flag and the Stage 5 winner’s trophy and we were blown away by the amazing standard!
Entries were shortlisted by Councillor John Cottee and then they went to a public vote on our Facebook page, where our winners were decided.
Our flag competition winner is Emilia, age 9, from Mansfield and our trophy competition winner is Robyn, age 10, from East Leake. Congratulations to Emilia and Robyn for their fantastic entries!
The original drawings have now been professionally designed by one of our brilliant designers and are in the process of being manufactured into the real things!
You – our loyal TOB subscribers – are the first to see the official designs based closely on the original drawings, check them out 👇
