The Tour of Britain is coming back to Nottinghamshire on Thursday 8 September and we’re getting young people and their schools involved!
Competitions for 4-11 year olds
We have developed a Schools Pack to help get primary schools and their pupils involved in the biggest cycling event in the UK.
The pack is jammed full with lots of factual information on the Tour, class activity ideas and competitions with exciting prizes for primary aged children.
Get your child (or their school) involved – and make sure the competitions have been entered before the deadlines! From designing the starting flag and winning trophy (competition deadline Friday 15 July), to creating a new school meal (competition deadline Friday 24 June), there is lots to keep their brains active and thinking creatively.

Competition for 12-18 year olds
We have launched a brand new competition for secondary school aged children and young people, to help get their creative juices flowing!
We're looking for a fabulously creative cycle helmet design, which will be turned into the real thing! The winning design will be worn by Ribble-Weldtite Pro Cycling team during the Nottinghamshire stage of the race and may even get captured on TV!
Of course it wouldn't be the Tour of Britain without the Best Dressed Town or Village competition!
In previous years we've had all sorts of fantastic displays (like Woodborough in 2018, pictured below) but this year we want it to be bigger and better than ever!
As a valued Tour of Britain newsletter subscriber, you will find out about all the latest Notts TOB news and competitions direct to your inbox. We’ll be revealing a more detailed route map very soon, so stay tuned...!
