This summer there is lots to get excited about in Notts, including festivals celebrating our amazing county and international sporting events giving Nottinghamshire the spotlight it deserves! Here are just a few dates for your diary:
Tour of Britain - children's competitions coming in June!
Tell your kids to keep an eye out at school for exciting competitions aimed at primary and secondary aged children - competitions to design the flag and trophy (for primary school aged children) and a racing helmet (for secondary school aged children) will be launching in June!
Notts Day - Thursday 25 August
Nottinghamshire Day is an opportunity to celebrate the identity, heritage, culture, and local traditions of our county. It is a way to champion our local communities, to better understand and celebrate the histories and traditions of the places we live, work and enjoy in our leisure time. Notts Day Festival at Sherwood Forest - Saturday 27 August, 11am - 8pm
This brilliant free-to-attend festival will be fun for all the family, with live music, entertainment, food and local stalls, it is the perfect event to enjoy together on a (hopefully) sunny August Saturday! Find out more about the Notts Day Festival.
Tour of Britain comes to Nottinghamshire - Thursday 8 September
Stage 5 of the Tour Of Britain will be taking place in Nottinghamshire, starting in West Bridgford and finishing in Mansfield - will it pass by your house, school or business?
