A caring Nottinghamshire couple have been shining a light on life as foster carers and the importance of the fostering community as part of Foster Care Fortnight, a national campaign that ran from 9 to 22 May.

Increase your protection with the Spring Booster
Covid-19 has not gone away. The Spring Booster vaccine is being offered to those at extremely high risk to help minimise the chance of becoming severely ill and being admitted to hospital.
You will be offered a Spring Booster if it's been more than six months since your first booster dose and:
- are aged 75 years old or over
- live in a care home for older people
- are aged 12 years old or over with a weakened immune system.
There are more than 50 sites across Nottinghamshire, including pharmacies, vaccination centres and GP practices offering the Spring Booster. Book your vaccination now by calling 119 or visit the NHS website.

Dementia Connect is a new local service offering information, advice and support to people with dementia, carers, family and friends.
It’s free, easy to access, and can put you in touch with the right support. From local help, to telephone and online advice.

Our friends at Sherwood Forest are launching their first ever outdoor cinema event showcasing two fabulous films on Saturday 16 July.
Starting with the family favourite Disney’s classic animated version of Robin Hood at 4pm. Followed by A Knight’s Tale at 7pm, an action-packed story about a poor young man in search of glory and the love of a fair maiden.
