We are so excited to be planning this years’ Fostering’s Got Talent event which will take place on Friday 20th May 2022! For all of our newer carers who have been approved since we had our last event (2019!) then you may not know about our incredible talent show that gives all of our fostering community (looked after young people, foster carers and their birth children) the opportunity to take part in a fantastic evening of great performances with great prizes up for grabs. You should have received an email with all of the details and an entry form last week but if you haven’t had yours then please get in touch. We are also happy to answer any questions you may have so drop us an email at

Do you have some fabulous pets?

We are looking for photos of our foster carers fantastic pets in order to put together a Facebook post about how people foster as a whole family (including their pets!) If you’d like to contribute to this post then please send us your pet pics via email

Post-Approval Training Development Plans

We wanted to let our foster carers know that we have listened to your feedback about our post-approval training programme. We have recently updated our training developments plans and now have a  reduced mandatory training programme that is more concise but still covers the areas required for successful learning and development for year one, two and three. We also have a comprehensive list of elective courses that you can access outside of the mandatory training programme. Training is still accessible via the My Learning My Career learning platform. If you would like more information and to request a copy of the new training plans, please discuss with your Supervising Social Worker.
