12 - 15 year olds in Nottinghamshire encouraged to get vaccinated over half term
Health bosses are urging children and young people aged 12 - 15 to get their first or second Covid-19 vaccination over half term to protect themselves and their families from Covid-19.
12-15-year-olds are being offered vaccinations through school clinics. However, this age group can also receive their jab at clinics outside school hours if they prefer.
There are hundreds of appointments available during half term. Children and young people can book an appointment on the NHS website or call 119. In addition, they can attend the following drop-in clinics:

- Saturday and Sunday 8:30am-7:30pm

King’s Mill Hospital, Mansfield Road, Sutton-in-Ashfield, NG17 4JL:

It’s half term next week (14 - 18 Feb), and there are plenty of fun activities taking place across the county for friends and family. You can visit our school holidays events page for activities and inspiration you’re sure to fall head over heels for!
Whilst you’re out and about next week, please consider wearing a face covering in crowded, enclosed spaces and let plenty of fresh air in if you’re meeting others indoors. Although the days are starting to get longer with spring around the corner, we still need to remain cautious and act carefully to protect our health and care services and keep everyone safe.

Last year over 281,500 test kits were given out at Community Collect sites and a further 136,000 supervised lateral flow tests were completed across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.
Around one in three people with Covid-19 don’t have any symptoms, but can still pass it on. That is why rapid testing remains a vital tool in helping to identify cases of coronavirus which would otherwise not be found.
There are different ways you can find lateral flow tests, inlcuding online and by calling 119.

From 4am tomorrow, 11 February, all testing requirements will be removed for eligible fully vaccinated arrivals, with only a Passenger Locator Form required.
Arrivals who are not recognised as fully vaccinated will only need to take a pre-departure test and a PCR test on or before day 2 after they arrive in the UK.
Children aged 12-15 in England will be able to prove their vaccination status or proof of prior infection via a digital NHS COVID Pass from 3 February for outbound travel.

Children aged 12 and over can now access the NHS COVID Pass for international travel through the NHS website. Young people aged 13 and over can access the NHS COVID pass via the NHS App.
A digital NHS COVID Pass will:
- provide a record of Covid-19 vaccinations received
- show evidence of recovery for 180 days following a positive NHS PCR test.
