Don’t forget to apply for your child’s school place by 15 January if they start school or transfer from infant to junior school in September 2022!

Remember to use all four of your school preferences - only listing one school does not increase your chances at getting a place there.

Beeston through road closure will make cycling safer

Bicycle

A road in Beeston is set to be closed to through traffic as part of a trial to promote safe cycling in the town.

Dovecote Lane is a key cycle route, linking the town centre with the train station, and will now be subject to an Experimental Traffic Regulation Order (ETRO) to close the road to through traffic north of West End.

The order comes as part of the county council’s Active Travel Fund (ATF) proposals and will ensure that local residents, cyclists and motorists can feed back on the scheme while it is in place.
