Eid al-Adha

Celebrating Eid al-Adha

If you are celebrating Eid al-Adha the advice is to do so safely by:

  • Maintaining space from others outside of your household where you can
  • Letting fresh air into your home by opening doors and windows
  • Washing your hands thoroughly and regularly
  • Testing twice weekly using lateral flow tests to check for Covid-19

Eid Mubarak to our Muslim communities across Nottinghamshire!

Step 4 of the Roadmap

Jonathan Gribbin quote

England has moved to Step 4 of the roadmap, which means most legal restrictions to control Covid-19 have been lifted.

The Government has said Covid-19 will be a feature of our lives for the foreseeable future, so we need to learn to live with it and manage the risk to ourselves and others.

While cases are high and rising in Nottinghamshire, Jonathan Gribbin, Director of Public Health for Nottinghamshire, urges everybody to continue to act carefully and remain cautious.

NHS Hands Face Space

NHS visitor guidance remains in place now we’re in Step 4, this means when attending a healthcare setting or appointment you will still be expected to:

  • Regularly use hand sanitiser or wash your hands
  • Wear a face covering (unless exempt)
  • Follow social distancing rules

Cases of Covid-19 are rising nationally and we need to keep our most vulnerable safe.

Self-isolation and NHS Test & Trace

If you're told to self-isolate by NHS Test and Trace or the NHS Covid-19 app you must self-isolate immediately. The self-isolation period includes the day you were last in contact with the person who tested positive and the next 10 full days.

If you get any symptoms of Covid-19 then you must take a PCR test while you are self-isolating. Anyone you live with must also self-isolate until you’ve been tested and received your result.
