Could you be a shared lives carer?

Wojciech and Alicja decided to become Shared Lives carers after seeing a friend support someone to lead a happy and fulfilled life. They saw a trusting bond develop between them and felt that Shared Lives was something they wanted to be a part of.

‘We find it really rewarding watching someone’s life improve – knowing you are making a difference in their lives is a great feeling. The scheme is great and we get lots of support’

Our Shared Lives scheme helps adults who need support to live more independently.

We need carers from all kinds of backgrounds to provide support in their home, from just a few hours a week to long term live-in arrangements, helping some of our most isolated and vulnerable people to be part of a community.
