 Nottinghamshire's Big Weekend for Vaccinations starts tomorrow!
Walk-in Covid-19 jabs for all adults are available from Friday 25 – Monday 28 June in nine vaccination sites across the city and county:
- Ashfield Health Village
- Forest Recreation Ground
- Gamston Community Hall
- King's Meadow Campus
- King's Mill Hospital Vaccination Hub
- Mansfield Wickes site
- Newark Showground
- Queen's Medical Centre
- Richard Herrod Centre
Please let your friends and family know that all those eligible for their Covid-19 vaccine can pop by between 8am - 8pm to grab a first or second jab. Second doses will be available for anybody who has had their first jab on or before 30 April.
All sites will be offering both Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines to the public. In addition, trained staff will be available at the vaccination sites to help answer your questions.
All adults can attend a walk-in clinics for their first vaccine in Bassetlaw. The location and times are as follows:
Retford and Villages Primary Care Network at Retford Hospital Out-patients Department, Retford
- Saturday 26th June 2021, 10.30am - 5pm
Newgate Primary Care Network at Newgate Medical Group GP Practice, Worksop
- Saturday 26th June 2021, 1.30pm - 5pm
- Sunday 27th June 2021, 8.30am - 12.30pm
Larwood and Bawtry Primary Care Network at Kilton Forest Community Centre, Worksop
- Saturday 26th June 2021, 9.30am - 12pm
- Sunday 27th June 2021, 9.30am - 12pm
Currently, only the first dose of the vaccine is being offered at these walk-in clinics. No booking is required, so you can grab a jab at a time that suits you.

The vaccines have been shown to reduce the likelihood of severe illness in most people. Like all medicines, no vaccine is completely effective, so even if you’ve had both vaccinations, the advice is to continue with the twice-weekly lateral flow testing. You should still get a PCR test if you have symptoms of coronavirus. It is important to keep following the guidelines as we work towards the next step of the Government's Roadmap out of lockdown.

A free webinar aimed primarily at the manufacturing and distribution industry takes place next Wednesday 30 June (11-12pm) giving tips and advice to help prevent and control Covid 19 outbreaks.
The event will focus on:
• How to ensure your business can remain Covid-secure,
• What to do in the event of an outbreak within your workforce,
• How to manage an effective Covid-19 testing regime
• What wider financial and business support is available to you and your workforce.
The event is being held with the support of Derbyshire County Council and East Midlands Chamber.

Meeting friends and family outside is the safest way to socialise and stay safe. Outdoor gatherings must not exceed 30 people, and you should still follow social distancing measures to keep everyone safe while enjoying the fresh air. Staying 2 metres apart even while outside will help protect you and your family and friends from catching the virus.

It's an exciting time with England through to the knockouts! If you're meeting indoors with your friends to watch the football, stick to a group of six or two households, and remember to open a window to let in the fresh air. The more fresh air inside, the quicker any airborne virus will be removed from the room.
