 Step 3 restrictions remain in place
On Monday 14 June, the Prime Minister announced the decision to delay Step 4 of the Roadmap for four weeks from 21 June to at least 19 July. The Government decided to remain in Step 3 because the four tests to proceed to the final step were not met, with Covid-19 infection rates and hospital admissions on the rise. The Government will review the data in two weeks to see if the risks have reduced.
However, from 21 June, there will be changes to the rules on:
- weddings and civil partnership ceremonies and wedding receptions or civil partnership celebrations
- commemorative events following a death such as a wake, stone setting or ash scattering
- large events pilots
- care home visits
- domestic residential visits for children
Much like other parts of England, in Nottinghamshire, we see a rise in Delta variant cases across the districts and boroughs. The Delta variant spreads more quickly, so it remains as crucial as ever to do what we can do to prevent the virus from spreading further.
Although the Government has announced that the limit of the number of guests able to attend wedding and civil partnership ceremonies will be removed from 21 June, Nottinghamshire’s registration offices will continue to have a maximum capacity of 30 people due to the social distancing rules, which still apply.
Couples who are due to have their ceremony at one of Nottinghamshire licensed venues are advised to contact the venue directly to confirm capacity limits and what is possible according to the new guidance.

If you're aged 21 or over or turn 21 before 1 July 2021, you are now eligible to book your Covid-19 vaccine. You can book your vaccine through the NHS national booking service or by calling 119.
Remember to bring some water and a snack with you when you attend your vaccine appointment.

The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation advises that all pregnant women should be offered the Covid-19 vaccine simultaneously as the rest of the population, based on their age and clinical risk group.

If you have a high temperature, a new cough that won't go away, or if things taste or smell different, you should book a PCR test. There is stay at home guidance for households with possible or confirmed coronavirus infection.
If you have to self-isolate because of a positive Coronavirus test result, there is support available through our Coronavirus Community Hub for Nottinghamshire. Through the hub, local volunteer groups can help you with food delivery, dog walking, social wellbeing and more. In addition, if you are on a low income and are asked to self-isolate by NHS Test and Trace, you may be entitled to a one-off payment of £500 from the Government's Test and Trace Support Payment Scheme.
