✅Cardboard Easter egg boxes are recyclable, flatten them before putting them in the recycling bin to save space.

❌Easter egg foil wrapping and plastic packaging doesn't belong in your kerbside recycling bin.

Had an egg-cellent Easter?

Let's get carried away

supermarket plastic carrier bags

Since 5 October 2015 when shoppers started being charged for carrier bags there has been a decrease of more than 90% of bags being purchased, that’s over 7.1 billion bags less!

Let's keep up the good work by remembering to take your bags for life when you visit shops.

If you are reusing plastic bags, remember when the bag is no longer usable just pop it in your general waste bin or take it to a collection point.

Do not put plastic carrier bags in your recycling bin.

Earth Day 2021

Journey of a shampoo bottle

Thursday 22 April is Earth day when more than a billion people worldwide come together to play their part in protecting our world. You can join them by ensuring all your household plastic bottles go in the recycling bin.

Did you know recycling just one plastic bottle saves enough energy to light a 60w bulb for 6 hours? Make sure you remove the lid and rinse before you pop the bottle it in your kerbside recycling bin.
