Census 2021

Census day is on March 21, households across Notts will now be receiving letters with online codes explaining how to complete their forms.

If you don’t get one in the next couple of weeks, please get in touch with the census contact centre. You can also request a paper questionnaire if you’d prefer to complete your census that way.

Three ways to cast your vote at the May elections

Elections 2021

On Thursday 6 May residents in Nottinghamshire will go to the polls to have their say on who represents them on Nottinghamshire County Council.

There are a range of options for casting your ballot – in person, by post or by appointing someone you trust to vote in your place, known as a proxy vote.

The deadline to apply for a postal vote is 5pm on 20 April, and for a proxy vote the deadline is 5pm on 27 April.

For those who choose to vote in person, polling stations will be safe places to vote on 6 May.

Parents urged to get twice-weekly testing as children return to classroom

Coronavirus test

Covid-19 rapid lateral flow tests are now available for those over the age of 18 who lives in the same home as a primary school, secondary school or college age student.

As more pupils return to the classroom the Government has asked that all adults who live in households with primary, secondary and college age children, including childcare and support bubbles, test themselves twice a week.

Gedling Access Road: Works accelerate towards Autumn completion

Gedling Access Road construction

The first kerb stones have been put in place on the Gedling Access Road, paving the way for the road to officially open in the Autumn.

Progress highlights since works began last January include the construction and opening of a new junction at Burton Road and the creation of an embankment at Mapperley Plains.

The coming months will see three new roundabouts start to take shape along with top soil and tarmacking works before the road opens to traffic in September.
