Celebrate Christmas safely
Following the Government's announcement yesterday there are no further changes for Nottinghamshire meaning the county remains in Tier 3 until the next review.
This means that on Christmas Day you can still choose to form a Christmas bubble if you really need to and see a maximum of two households. You cannot see anyone from a Tier 4 area.
Wherever possible, discuss alternatives to meeting up in person. If you do meet in person , reduce risks by maintaining good hand hygiene, keeping rooms well ventilated and as much social distance as possible and avoiding physical contact with other households.
If you are going to shops after Christmas remember to shop safely to help reduce the transmission of the virus and keep yourself and others safe and healthy. Remember to:
- Keep a minimum 2m (6 feet) social distance at all times.
- Always wear your mask (unless you have a medical condition that prevents this).
- Regularly wash or sanitise your hands.
- Follow any one-way systems or other directions that are in the store
- Do not go shopping and stay home if you're feeling unwell.

The NHS is currently offering the COVID-19 vaccine to people who are most at risk from coronavirus. There is a set priority order for the different groups of people who will receive the vaccine, starting with people over 80 and frontline NHS, health and social care workers.
Those who are eligible will receive an invitation to come forward. For most people this will be a letter, either from your GP or the national NHS booking system which will include all the information you will need to book appointments, including your NHS number.
The NHS will let you know when it's your turn to have the vaccine. It's important not to contact the NHS for a vaccine before then. We know lots of people will be eager to get protected but we are asking people not to contact the NHS to get an appointment until they get their letter.
