Test and Trace

Help to stop the spread of coronavirus

Nottinghamshire's Director of Public Health, Jonathan Gribbin is reminding businesses to continue their hard work in encouraging the mandatory use of face coverings as well as other social distancing guidance across indoor settings.

As individuals we can all do our bit to help stop the spread of coronavirus across Nottinghamshire, which includes supporting local businesses in their efforts to keep customers and communities safe.

You can help by:

  • providing full and accurate details of every individual when visiting a cafe, pub or restaurant as part of the NHS Test and Trace service
  • wearing a face covering in indoor settings and on public transport (unless you are exempt). A full list of premises are listed on the Government’s website
  • maintaining social distancing and frequent hand washing

These steps must become a routine part of life for all of us. We must all follow the guidance and in doing so we can help support local businesses, protect others and minimise the spread of coronavirus.

...And please remember that if you have symptoms, you must self -isolate and get a test. Book your free test by calling 119.

Are you sharing car lifts to work? Take action to stay safe

Car sharing advice

Those who share lifts in cars are urged to follow full guidance on face coverings and distancing. You should only travel by car with people in your household or support bubble, or if this is a work requirement. Otherwise, avoid car sharing, but if you really need to, then please make sure you:

  • share the transport with the same people each time
  • keep to small groups
  • open windows
  • clean your car surfaces between journeys using standard cleaning products
  • ask the driver and passengers to wear a face covering.
