Recycling Centres across Nottinghamshire are now operating summer opening hours until Wednesday 30 September.
Open 8am - 8pm, 7 days a week.
The sites are busier at weekends and bank holidays, so why not make the most of the longer opening hours and visit during the evening.
There may still be queues at some sites with the current restrictions in place.
If you need assistance, please ask a member of staff, they are able to advise, but at the moment are not able to physically assist residents.

The Reduce, Reuse, Recycling fund is open to not-for-profit community groups, schools and charities based in the county of Nottinghamshire (excluding the city of Nottingham).
Grants are available of up to £1,000 for projects which help Nottinghamshire to Reduce, Reuse or Recycle waste.
Applications close Monday 28 September.
Could your project or activity benefit from the grant?

With many of us being at home more, this is a great opportunity to make sure everyone in your household knows what everyday items can and cannot be put in your recycling bin.
There's plenty of information and FAQs on our website to help you get Bin Smart.
Clean, dry paper and cardboard can go into the recycling bin - please leave out shredded paper, takeaway boxes, waxed cardboard or anything that is covered in food.
Empty cans, tins and aerosol cans can go in the recycling bin.
All plastic bottles can go in the recycling bin - please remove the lids and discard and ensure that the bottles are empty. Don't forget your bathroom bottles!
Yoghurt pots and margarine tubs can go into the recycling bin - remember to remove the lids. No other plastic container can go into the recycling bin, find out why here.
If in doubt please leave it out of the recycling bin.

Glass CAN NOT go into your kerbside recycling bin. Please don't put it in your general waste bin either!
Your local District or Borough Council may offer a kerbside glass collection in a separate bag or box/bin. If not, your local recycling centre accepts glass or you can take them to your local bottle bank. #NottsRecycles

When the sun is shining is there a better way to wind down after a busy day or week than slipping on your sandals, packing up your picnic basket and heading to the outdoors for dinner?! Eating al fresco is what summer is all about.
We've lots of great tips and ideas for how you can use up leftovers for those picnic treats to ensure nothing goes to waste.

Research conducted in June by WRAP shows that although people have found ways to manage their food better, self-reported waste has increased by 30% compared to the early stages of lockdown.
At the beginning of lockdown it was sometimes difficult to buy all the food we needed. All of a sudden we had to become more creative in switching ingredients in our recipes and it became more important than ever that food did not end up getting wasted.
To help everyone in Nottinghamshire continue to cook creatively and reduce the amount of food that is going unnecessarily to waste, we've launched a range of seasonal use up recipe cards for the people of Nottinghamshire, to help reduce food waste.

To encourage creative cooking we have 10 Nottinghamshire Recycles - Love Your Leftovers aprons to give away!
Take part in our resident recycling research survey and let us know what food usually goes to waste in your home to enter.
Prize draw closes midnight Friday 21 August.
