National Carers Week

šŸŒˆ Support for carersĀ šŸŒˆ

Being a carer can make you feel lonely, particularly if youā€™re looking after someone with dementia, so weā€™re encouraging carers to get in touch with the Nottinghamshire Carers Hub.

The Hub can offer personalised information and support to meet your individual need. You can contact them on 0115 824 8824 or visitĀ www.nottinghamshirecarershub.org/

Although their face-to-face services arenā€™t currently running, the team have found alternative ways to support carers such as weekly mindfulness videos and virtual carers support groups. There are lots of quizzes, exercise classes and other activities planned this week for Carers Week too.Ā

Still here to help ā—

Community Hub

As many people across the county start to return to work, vulnerable friends, relatives and neighbours could find themselves with limited or no support.

We know there are people in Nottinghamshire who are continuingĀ to self-isolate, or who need help.Ā Our Community Hub is still open and offering help in accessing food, medicines and other daily tasks, or just for those who need someone to talk toĀ šŸ’š

Stay alert to government guidance on face coverings

Face covering

Public transport passengers, including those who use Nottsbus Connect services, will soon be required to wear a face covering while travelling.

From Monday 15 June, passengers intending to board a bus, coach, tram, train, ferry or aircraft must ensure that their nose and mouth are covered to limit the spread of coronavirus.

Other advice includes washing hands before putting the face covering on and taking it off, making sure it is washed regularly using normal detergent, and not touching the covering while wearing it.
