A personal message from the Leader
Following the announcement from the Prime Minister on Sunday evening, the Leader of the Council, Councillor Kay Cutts has issued a personal message to update you on our services and how we're looking towards the future.
Councillor Cutts would also like to pay tribute to all of our care workers who continue to show dedication and support to our most vulnerable Notts residents. #Thankyoucareworkers! 🌈
We are pleased to announce that following recent Government advice, the car parks at our parks and green spaces will reopen from Saturday 16 May.
This includes car parks at the following sites:
🔸Rufford Abbey Country Park 🔸Holme Pierrepont Country Park 🔸Bestwood Country Park 🔸Cotgrave Country Park
The car park at Sherwood Forest currently remains closed.
We ask that while you enjoy the surroundings of our country parks, please keep a safe two metre distance from others 💚
In these challenging times, many more people and families are finding themselves facing food poverty. This is placing greater demand on the essential supplies that food banks are able to distribute.
We’re asking for help from local businesses and organisations that might be able to help provide relief to those affected by the Coronavirus, particularly those able to donate fresh food, especially fruit and vegetables. Any other non-perishable food, toiletries, vitamins and pet food will also help to ensure the support needed can be maintained. If you have any supplies or support you can offer please email: COVIDEmergencyFood@nottscc.gov.uk

To maintain your safety when travelling on one of our Nottsbus services, we've put in a series of extra measures.
While some services will continue to run during peak times, others will continue to be on-demand only.
Our priority is to keep you safe, so please only travel if essential and do not travel if you are unwell or living with someone who is self-isolating. We also encourage you to wear face coverings where possible and always respect social distancing 👍
