COVID 19 - Stay at home
Last night The Prime Minister addressed the country to give the latest information on new measures and tougher restrictions to tackle the coronavirus outbreak.
In light of this news, here's the restrictions you need to follow:
- Shop only for basic necessities (food, medicine and other essentials), as infrequently as possible
- Only exercise outside once a day, for example a run, walk, or cycle - alone or with members of your household
- Only leave the house if you need to provide care or help a vulnerable person
- Only leave your house to travel to and from work, if it is "absolutely necessary"
Do not leave home if you or someone you live with has the following:
🤒 a high temperature
😫 a new, continuous cough.
In order to protect others, do not go to your GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital. Stay at home.
We regret to inform you that all of our Recycling Centres are now closed following the Prime Ministers statement yesterday. The sites will remain closed until further notice.
Any waste you would normally take to a Recycling Centre should not be placed in to your kerbside bin. Instead it should be stored safely until the sites re-open.
All Nottinghamshire County Council buildings will be closing to members of the public from today (24 March) except by prior arrangement with individuals.
Please contact the Customer Service Centre for any queries relating to Council services.
We are working with all 7 District and Borough Councils and the City Council to create a community support and volunteer hub that all residents can access during this difficult time.
If you're self isolating and need support, you can find local volunteer groups offering help in your area.
The latest government guidance to stay at home may have you wondering how to continue co-parenting when you live separately from your child's other parent. The guidance states that children under 18 can be moved between their parents' homes, so you will still be able to keep your co-parenting arrangements.
