Welfare benefits

- If you are working for an employer and are forced to self-isolate because of the virus, you will be entitled to Statutory Sick Pay from your employer on day one of self isolation.

- If you are self-employed or on a zero hours contract, you will need to apply on day one of self-isolation for New Style Jobseekers Allowance - if you have paid enough National Insurance contributions. Alternatively, you can apply for Universal Credit dependent upon your family circumstances

If you are not currently in employment there are no specific benefits for people who are self isolating or suffering from Covid-19.
