Help stop the spread of norovirus

Norovirus2

There have been reports that norovirus (or the winter vomiting bug) is circulating in Nottinghamshire. Norovirus is a contagious bug that causes vomiting and diarrhoea. The main symptoms are feeling sick, being sick and diarrhoea. You many also have a high termperature of 38C or above, a headache or aching arms and legs.

Washing your hands frequently with soap and water is the best way to stop it spreading. Alcohol hand gels don't kill norovirus.

You can usually treat yourself or your child at home.

Stay safe and follow NHS guidance
