Flu vaccine available now

Nasal spray

The flu vaccination is free for over 65s, pregnant women, people with long term conditions, carers and children between the ages of 2 and 11. If you are in an at-risk group, you are more likely to develop complications from flu such as pneumonia, so the NHS recommends you have a vaccine each year to help protect yourself. Contact your GP or pharmacist to get the flu jab soon.

If you have a child who is 2 or 3, you should get a letter from your GP surgery about their vaccination. Primary school children will be offered their vaccination at school. For children, the vaccination is a quick and easy nasal spray.

If you aren’t eligible for the free jab and want to protect yourself, you can make an appointment with your nearest pharmacy which is offering the service. The jab will cost approximately £7 – £13.
