Shopfront guidance and support
Sleaford’s Shopfront Scheme has supported the restoration of historic buildings throughout Sleaford, helping businesses and landlords improve their premises in line with the Council’s wider Heritage Strategy.
Depending on the property in question, businesses may require planning permission and advertisement consent for any external changes. Businesses should contact the council before starting work to confirm what consents may be required. This can include windoes, doors, materials, signage, or new shopfronts. Any work should seek to maintain the standards set out in the North Kesteven Shopfront Design Guide.
Listed buildings require extra consent for changes affecting their character, including painting, signage, and internal alterations.

The Green Growth Awards
Small Business Britain have announced the launch of the Green Growth Awards and Green Growth 100.
The Green Growth 100 campaign will celebrate and highlight 100 incredible small businesses who are using sustainability to grow their business, with a £5,000 grant awarded to two entrepreneurs.
