The Mini Repair Shop at Discovery Court, Lincoln, has achieved several milestones since opening in 2021. These include being awarded 'Start-up Business of the Year' in 2022 and being finalists for 'Independent Garage of the Year' at the CAT Awards this year.
With the initial support by North Kesteven District Council, through the availability of a brand new and bigger business unit at Discovery Court and an equipment start-up grant, the business has since grown significantly. Starting as a team of two, it has now expanded to five technicians with over 75 years of combined main dealer expertise.
The business plans to continue growing its team and operations, aiming to be recognised as one of the best independent garages in the area.

From February 10 to 24, people can take selfies at a love heart seat which will be at Market Place. Heart-shaped tags will be available from nearby businesses for people to write messages on and hang on the seat, and the heart seat will light up in the evenings for an extra photo opportunity.
Participating businesses which will be hosting heart tags include Market Square Café, Bellissimo Boutique, The SOLO Bar, and Ruth Burrows Art Studio. Get in touch if you would also like to host heart tags in your business.
Everyone is also invited to visit the Market Place on February 15 for a Valentine's event with free caricature and photo portraits, music and entertainment. Plus, enjoy a healthy heart event on February 22 with a health and wellbeing focus. Keep an eye on the Council's social media channels for updates.
