On January 27, at 8pm, businesses, organisations, and individuals will light a candle to join in a national moment for Holocaust Memorial Day.
Through participation in #LightTheDarkness you will show that you remember those who were murdered for who they were, and demonstrate that you stand against prejudice and hatred today.
The placing of lit or battery candles and lighting of buildings in purple are actions promoted by the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust. North Kesteven District Council will place battery candles in windows across its buildings, tourism and leisure venues and will light the Handley Monument in Sleaford purple on the night.
Shine your light by sharing a photo and joining the conversation on social media. #HolocaustMemorialDay #LightTheDarkness.
