While many businesses display their ratings in-store, The Food Standards Agency encourages businesses to promote their hygiene ratings online too, giving customers greater confidence. Only 10% of businesses in England currently do so, despite the competitive edge it offers.
Free tools and resources are available to help businesses display their ratings online and on social media.
Small Business Saturday is a nationwide initiative, which highlights small business success and encourages consumers to 'shop local' and support small businesses in their communities.
Each year, our Economic Development Team supports businesses across the District in celebration of Small Business Saturday, whether through providing promotional materials, such as bunting, or through events like last year's Shop Small Market.
This year, we would like to showcase a variety of businesses in the lead up to Small Business Saturday, to celebrate what makes them special, as well as promote any events or discounts on offer. If you would like your business highlighted on our website and via our socials as part of this initiative, get in touch by emailing ecovdev@n-kesteven.gov.uk.
