Supporting businesses to achieve their sustainability goals

We're offering businesses in North Kesteven free access to Zellar, an online sustainability tool which guides you through the process of calculating and understanding your carbon emissions and then builds an achievable plan to reduce them.

A local business, IMS, shares how Zellar has helped them to identify and work towards achieving their sustainability goals. They currently sit as the second highest scoring business on our North Kesteven Zellar licence.

Calculating your carbon emissions can be tricky, using Zellar can save you time, money and help you to reduce your carbon emissions.

Claim your free access to Zellar, by visiting our Net Zero page on Business NK. To qualify for a free one-year Zellar licence a business must be a micro-SME (up to 10 employees) or SME (under 250 employees) with a base in North Kesteven.

Sleaford's Teenage Market

Young entrepreneurs and performers are invited to take part in Sleaford's Teenage Market, taking place on Saturday 4 May, from 10am to 3pm at Millstream Square. 

If you know any talented young artists, bakers or dancers, let them know about this opportunity to connect with the community, gain exposure and make sales.

Applications can be made by creating a profile at www.theteenagemarket.co.uk. More information on the application and selection process can be found on the Council's website.

The Teenage Market is being funded for one-year as part of North Kesteven District Council’s Events Programme, from the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

Grow your business with a bookable experience

Support to develop new bookable experiences has been valuable for local businesses, with some adding new income streams to their business.

The next Unmissable North Kesteven workshop will be on 18 June, at the International Bomber Command Centre. The session will explore two main topics: addressing accessibility needs and the importance of attracting walkers and cyclists.

Businesses will also have the opportunity to book a 1-2-1 with Chris to discuss their experience and ideas in more detail. Reserve your place on the next session here.
