Small Business Saturday highlights the importance of shopping locally and celebrates the small businesses in our communities.
For the consumer, it's simple. Spend the day shopping, eating and supporting the small businesses in your community. Like, comment and share posts on social media, or why not recommend a business to a friend or family or leave a business a positive review?
If you own a business, Small Business Saturday is the perfect time to offer a discount or promotion and draw the crowds to you to boost sales at the start of the busy festive period. Let us know what you're plans are for Small Business Saturday and we will do what we can to promote it. Bunting is also available for shopfronts on a first come first served basis, by emailing ecodev@n-kesteven.gov.uk.
There's still time to get involved in the Shop Small Market, taking place on Saturday 2 December from 9am to 12pm, on the Village Green in Heckington. Let us know if you're interested in having a free pitch at the market.
The Shop Small Market will be in support of Small Business Saturday, a grassroots, non-commercial campaign, which highlights small business success and encourages consumers to 'shop local'. This project will be funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
