Businesses across the district have helped in honouring the memory of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Thank you for continuing to help support our communities.
Guidance on UKCA marks was recently updated by the Office for Product Safety and Standards.
UKCA is marking used for products being placed on the market or into service for the first time in England, Scotland and Wales, demonstrating conformity with UK regulations. The UKCA marking applies to most goods previously subject to the CE marking. The new marking has been in place since 1 January 2021.
Businesses are encouraged to be ready for full implementation of the new UK regime as soon as possible. However, to allow businesses time to adjust, CE marked goods in scope of this guidance that meet EU requirements (where these match UK requirements) can continue to be placed on the GB market until 11pm 31 December 2022. More information can be found here.
