Exciting plans are taking place in the Barnstaple Pannier Market over the Jubilee Bank Holiday! 

North Devon Beer Festival is taking place on Thursday 2 and Friday 3 June from 12pm. A great selection of North Devon beers, ciders and gins, fantastic local food and some amazing entertainment lined up!

A Jubilee Market will be taking place on Saturday 4 June from 9am, featuring lots of stalls, live music, Morris dancers and children's entertainment.

On Saturday 4 June, the market will also be holding a street party in collaboration with Butchers Row from 10am-4pm. Pop down and get your picnic from one of our many brilliant local businesses and enjoy the community atmosphere. Tables and chairs will be laid out along the street.

A curated selection of items from the collection of North Devon's Sarah Grant.

Sarah has spent over 10 years researching and collecting items of royal memorabilia. Exhibits span the life of Queen Elizabeth II and include samples of silk from the coronation gown, a kneeler from the coronation service, family photographs, original portraits, limited edition prints, stamps, coins and much more.

Local artist Sarah Flannery has kindly loaned a recent portrait of the Queen with prints available to purchase at the exhibition.

The exhibition will also include displays from the collections of the Barnstaple Library Local Studies Centre which is run in partnership with Libraries Unlimited, North Devon Records Office (South West Heritage Trust) and the North Devon Athenaeum.

Free entry - just drop-in (please be aware that schools will be visiting the exhibition at certain times. If you would prefer at quieter visit, please contact the library for details of those times, call 01271 318780.

Queen Anne's Cafe are delighted to announce details of their Special Queen's Jubilee Fun Day on Thursday 2 June.

Come along to a 1950's themed family fete with fun and games, bouncy castle and entertainment including live screening of 'Trooping the Colour', Barnstaple Town Youth Marching Band will be attending along with an amazing Ballet performance from Dancing Feet Academy, Live Music from Tamsin Ball and music with the Over and Above Hospital Charity.

You can enjoy all this sat outside Queen Anne's with a special Jubilee cream tea!

Bookings not required but are advised especially during lunchtime.

Plus look out for details of the Children's Fancy Dress Competition... prizes for the best dressed 'Royal' and '1950's theme'.

This is being run with Children's Hospice South West with all proceeds going direct to this wonderful charity.
